Our two senior family lawyers, Danielle Deschamps–Carlson and Deirdre Prestage Severide, are certified and experienced family law mediators, and while Deirdre is specializing in Collaborative family law, Danielle is able to offer her extensive mediation and negotiation skills, honed over thirty-five years of legal practice, to assist clients to resolve their family disputes without the need for expensive court applications.
Deirdre’s focus in her practice is the collaborative model of family dispute resolution. This unique, no-court approach to resolving issues arising out of separation and divorce is rapidly becoming recognized worldwide as a respectful, cost efficient and effective way to restructure spouses and/or families transitioning through a relationship breakdown.
